Classroom Valentines Idea: “Booking” it over here tell you…” is such a cute and easy idea to make for the classroom!
So I’m learning that there are good and not-so-good points about my kids starting school (preschool, daycare, whatever it may be.)
Not-so-good: Life is crazier making sure my kiddo is prepared for every new little activity that is taking place within the school. {Field trip, classroom party, etc.}
Good: I get to get my “crafting,” on, WAY more than I did in the past. Now that I actually have classroom parties and deadlines to meet, I make it a priority to get creative.
My Silhouette FINALLY made an appearance out of the box a couple of days ago. I have been staring at that box for months, really intimidated of what was inside. (Facepalm!) If only I had known how easy it is to use, and how much easier it makes my crafting life… I would have ripped the box out of the UPS drivers hands the day it was delivered, and started “cutting,” my first shape.
Classroom Valentines — “Booking” it Over Here to Tell You…
I possibly started out with one of the most simple projects I could have done, but I figured if I did something super complicated right off the bat, I may have put the Silhouette back in the box and never opened it again. (Lets just say…I know how I can be.)
So how did I make the Classroom Valentines?
Oh my goodness, it was so easy.
Classroom Valentine Book Tutorial
– I bought 20 little books out of the dollar isle at Target.
– I racked my brain trying to think of something clever to go with a “book.”
– I stopped at Michael’s on the way home, picked up some card stock, Valentine’s stickers, and Valentine’s clothespins.
– Watched a thousand tutorials on how to use a Silhouette, and then found a “tag” template that would work.
– Easily… and I mean easily… took the pre-cut tags, attached a sticker, and “clipped,” the tag on with the decorative clothespins.
– Classroom Valentines DONE!
You can easily do this Valentine too. Even if you don’t have a Silhouette machine, you can buy pre-cut tags, write the phrase on them, and stick it on a book!)
For another cute classroom valentines idea, check out what my sister did last year, where she used a box of raisins!
