Mimosa recipes are one of my favorite cocktails. Simple, refreshing and beautiful in that tall, narrow glass.
A good signature cocktail is always one of my “musts” for any party that I host, and since I LOVE throwing parties, I like to keep quick drink recipes in my back pocket.
Mimosa Recipes
When my gal pal Kate came over the other morning, I told her that we needed to experiment with some drinks for a future party. Since it was only morning, we figured we better stick with the typical “mimosa,” base, and add a few random ingredients to our cocktails. It didn’t take much “arm twisting,” (I knew we were friends for a reason), and we were on our way to our own “mixology school.” See below the “splashes,” of extras I added to each classic mimosa to give them a “twist,” on the old favorite.
“Coral Chic” Mimosa
“Coral Chic” Mimosa:
Combine equal parts of champagne & orange juice. Simply add a splash of Red Apple Pucker, and stir! Garnish with an orange for a little added “flair.”
To reach the “coral,” color below, just give it a simple, quick “stir,” and that’s it! So you can either leave it separated upon serving, for a two-tier look… or give it a swish for a fun color!
“Dreamsicle” Mimosa
“Dreamsicle” Mimosa:
Combine equal parts of champagne & orange juice. Simply add a splash of RumChata, and stir! Garnish with an orange for a little added “flair.” The RumChata does settle a bit to the top after stirring, but it gives the drink a “frothy,” look, that I think adds to the “look,” of the dreamsicle!
I think we could have experimented for daze… but after a couple full-size cocktails, (because apparently we aren’t smart enough to just do small taste-test sizes… we figured we better postpone the other recipes for later.
But for now, these two quick mimosa “twists,” may be something you want to dry at your next brunch, party, or lazy Sunday.
