January 2016 Stitch Fix Try-On Video: This is my SECOND January āfix.ā (I get a āfixā every two weeks.)
Well then… this could quite possibly be the first fix where I immediately wanted to send everything back during my unboxing video, and then TOTALLY changed my mind after trying it on.
I have to admit something to you all, in complete honesty…
Time for Mom. “Stitch Fix Mom”Ā
Usually when I get my Stitch Fix in the mail, I immediately do the unboxing video. Then… I wait for the next day to try everything on, to do the try-on video. But living life as a mom… sometimes that next day means squeezing it in during nap time, or trying to do it while my kiddos swarm around me, and make cameo appearances in my videos and photos.
For instance…Ā
So what that means is that sometimes I have that “rushed,” feeling to get through a try-on session. But this time,Ā I actually waited until my kiddos were under the care of someone else, and I literally sat down and talkedĀ myself out of that “mom-mode, rushed,” feeling, and said:
Jessica, take your time. Turn on some 80s’s music on Pandora, and play closet. See if you can use some of the clothes that you already have, to pair with everything you received.
Because in the past, to save time, I’d literally try to pair everything together, that showed up in the box. This time… I actually took the time to head to my closet to see what I already had, that could make a Stitch Fix piece, “work.”
Woah… what a difference this made.
I gotta say, as a mom…it’s so hard to “stop,” and focus on yourself at times. But I’ve come to the conclusion that from now on… when my Stitch Fix comes in, I’m taking that time for me. I’m going to play, “Closet,” and have fun with it, rather than rushing through it.
Besides… I’m already sacrificing and saying “no,” to as many full-blown shopping days at the mall, by having my clothes shipped directly to me. So, 30 minutes or an hour, every 2 weeks, in my closet by myself, is “do-able.”
So now that I’ve taken my photos and created a video… I get to share it with you! {My favorite part!}
Stitch Fix Try-On Session – January 2016: 2nd January Fix
First things first…photos with prices, brands and details, & video down below!
PAH-LEESE, help me decide on what to keep! I REALLY REALLY need help on this one…
Mavi; Addyson Tulip Hem Skinny Jean | Sz. 6P | $98.00 | I need help!? Keep or no?
Liverpool; Griselda Mixed Material Top | Sz. XS | $58 | I really don’t know?? It keeps popping open at the bust, {as you’ll ACCIDENTALLY see in my video. OMG.}
Back view…
Central Park West; Zofie Mixed Material Sweater | Sz. XS | $138 | Umm… no. Not keeping. It’s not my style and I have to LUUUUV it, to pay that much for a shirt.
Back view…
Fate; Kemi Structured Lace Open Jacket | Sz. XS | $78 | I’m not sure!? When paired with this skirt and green shirt, it kind of reminds me of Kate Spade! What do you think?
Skies are Blue; Charisse Dress | Sz. S | $78 | Oh man, I really like it. But I don’t wear dresses THAT often. Does it look really good? If you say so, I’ll keep it. If it’s just “ok,” I’ll send it back…

BONUS Item:
Every month, I receive a new shirt from TomKat Studios Tee Shirt subscription. I’ve mentioned it before, but literally, as I finished filming this try-on review, there was a knock on my door, and I received this month’s TK Tee. I’m so in love. The simple “pink,” heart, melted MY heart. If you’re a sucker for tees like me, then you’ll probably want to check out my gal, Kim’s, tee shirt subscription.
I {Heart} TomKat! š

Hi Ronna! Thank you SO much! You’ve honestly made my day! Yaaaay! I hope you love it! You’ll have to keep me posted. Remember.. if the first fix isn’t the best, tweak your Stitch Fix profile and be a little more specific, to see if that helps! š Thank you so much for the comment and sweet words! XO

Thank you Melinda! I did decide to send the jeans back. š I was just afraid I wouldn’t wear them enough to justify the cost. But I did keep the dress!! That was super hard to say no to! š Thank you so much for coming over and letting me know what you thought!
