Nursery Ideas for the Wall

Hey all! It’s FRIDAY, the sun is SHINING, and I’ve finished a cup of coffee before both of my kiddos have even woken up. Cha-CHING! I MAY even get this blog post in about my “nursery ideas for the wall,” if I’m lucky! 😉

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you have probably seen the home tour that I’ve been giving. The nursery is next on the list, but I wanted to go ahead and share a little tidbit in the meantime.

As you know, my craftiness level doesn’t go very high. As a matter of fact, if I can pay a premium price for someone to do it for me, and make it look like I did it on my own, chances are I’ll go ahead and pay that premium price. {Unless it comes to party planning… and in that case, watch out, cause I’m obsessed with the details on that.}

BUT… when I had a picture in my head of the nursery ideas that I wanted for my second little bundle of joy, it involved getting a little craftiness going. So I did…

Nursery Ideas for the Wall

I knew I wanted a BIG, and I mean, BIG, monogram for my son’s nursery. When I found the “S,” it was unfinished, so I could paint it any color I wanted. At the store, I had all intentions of painting it in a chevron pattern. I get home with all the “goods,” and realize once again that I’m not the craftiest person, and I couldn’t even figure out how to start painting a chevron pattern, so I called it quits and painted it a solid green. 🙂

Whew… that was the extent of my craftiness level. Thank goodness the rest of the items were store bought, and all ready for me to hang! 🙂  {Yeah, yeah, yeah… I could have done a better job painting it, but you can only see the streaks in the “right,” light.}  😉

This itty bitty wall gallery was the perfect touch for my little guys nursery, and it was so unbelievably easy. If you’re needing nursery ideas, especially for the wall, I HIGHLY recommend doing a little gallery like this. It added a TON to the room, and it was so simple, and affordable to throw together.

Stay tuned for the tour of the nursery coming soon, and you’ll find out my deep dark secret as a bad mommy. For now, you can see the rest of the home tour, starting here: Part 1: The Exterior

Until next time…

  1. Jessica – I have seen a paint tape that is in the chevron shape at Lowes. Could just solve your problem for you next project. Good luck!
