January 2016 Stitch Fix Try-On Video: This is my SECOND January “fix.” (I get a “fix” every two weeks.) To see the unboxing video, you can see that here!)

Well then… this could quite possibly be the first fix where I immediately wanted to send everything back during my unboxing video, and then TOTALLY changed my mind after trying it on.

I have to admit something to you all, in complete honesty…

Stitch Fix Review January 2016 - 2nd January Fix

Time for Mom. “Stitch Fix Mom”

Usually when I get my Stitch Fix in the mail, I immediately do the unboxing video. Then… I wait for the next day to try everything on, to do the try-on video. But living life as a mom… sometimes that next day means squeezing it in during nap time, or trying to do it while my kiddos swarm around me, and make cameo appearances in my videos and photos.

For instance…

So what that means is that sometimes I have that “rushed,” feeling to get through a try-on session. But this time, I actually waited until my kiddos were under the care of someone else, and I literally sat down and talked myself out of that “mom-mode, rushed,” feeling, and said:

Jessica, take your time. Turn on some 80s’s music on Pandora, and play closet. See if you can use some of the clothes that you already have, to pair with everything you received.

Because in the past, to save time, I’d literally try to pair everything together, that showed up in the box. This time… I actually took the time to head to my closet to see what I already had, that could make a Stitch Fix piece, “work.”

Woah… what a difference this made.

I gotta say, as a mom…it’s so hard to “stop,” and focus on yourself at times. But I’ve come to the conclusion that from now on… when my Stitch Fix comes in, I’m taking that time for me. I’m going to play, “Closet,” and have fun with it, rather than rushing through it.
Besides… I’m already sacrificing and saying “no,” to as many full-blown shopping days at the mall, by having my clothes shipped directly to me. So, 30 minutes or an hour, every 2 weeks, in my closet by myself, is “do-able.”

So now that I’ve taken my photos and created a video… I get to share it with you! {My favorite part!}

Every month, I receive a new shirt from TomKat Studios Tee Shirt subscription. I’ve mentioned it before, but literally, as I finished filming this try-on review, there was a knock on my door, and I received this month’s TK Tee. I’m so in love. The simple “pink,” heart, melted MY heart. If you’re a sucker for tees like me, then you’ll probably want to check out my gal, Kim’s, tee shirt subscription.

I {Heart} TomKat! 🙂

Hi Jessica! The jeans look fabulous on you, I even love them with the shoes you paired them with! And the dress!!! So cute on you! They should both definitely be on the keeper list! 🙂

    1. Jessica says:

Thank you Melinda! I did decide to send the jeans back. 🙁 I was just afraid I wouldn’t wear them enough to justify the cost. But I did keep the dress!! That was super hard to say no to! 🙂 Thank you so much for coming over and letting me know what you thought!

The dress is absolutely adorable on you. I really like the jacket for when you do have to dress up. You could wear it with so many things. Have a great weekend

    1. Jessica says:

    1. Jessica says:

Haha! Shoot! I wish I would have seen this before I sent it back. 🙁 I decided to only keep the dress! But… if you let Stitch Fix know that you want this jacket, they may send it to you!!! 🙂

Jessica…you are so cute in your videos. I really enjoy watching and seeing your fixes. I just placed my first order and can’t wait to receive it. The dress looks great on you… Good decision to keep.

    1. Jessica says:

Hi Ronna! Thank you SO much! You’ve honestly made my day! Yaaaay! I hope you love it! You’ll have to keep me posted. Remember.. if the first fix isn’t the best, tweak your Stitch Fix profile and be a little more specific, to see if that helps! 🙂 Thank you so much for the comment and sweet words! XO

    hi, Jessica
i love the clothes you get from stitch fix. i wish they would send me the same but unfortunately they keep sending me things that are not my style at all. I would like to know how do you describe your style .

    1. Jessica says:

Hi Ellie! Thank you! I hate that you haven’t been happy with your fixes! But yes! Of course I can tell you!
I actually told them that I love the “Kate Spade,” look of clothing, and ever since then… it seems like my style is right on. You could also tell them to look at my blog: ( ) there’s a quick link for you, and tell them that you like the style of clothing that I usually receive. That may help them too! 🙂 Good luck!

    2. ellie says:

thanks so much for your quick response Jessica , I made my notes and asked for the kate spade look .Crossing my fingers and hope this works. Thanks again for you input .
