YOU… Guys. I’ve fallen in love with another. No no no… I’m still in love with my husband, but I have stumbled upon something that I have a HUGE crush on, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.
I’ll start by saying that I’m a mom of two little ones. I’m working full-time right now, so when I get home… get dinner on the table… and get the kids in bed {with help from my super fantabulous husband}, I all of a sudden am too tired to think about me, and what I need. But I’ll tell you that momma needs some new clothes. I had a ton of feedback on the post about being a mom and not knowing where to buy clothes. You too? Read that post here: I’m a Mom, Where do I Buy Clothes???
But oh baby… have I found an answer to that question…
Shopping online? Yeah, that’s a good way to do it. But I’m too tired to shop online at night. Oh… why don’t I just go shopping in the store, you may ask? Ha! Have you ever shopped for clothes with a toddler and an infant? If you’ve even attempted it, I almost bet you grabbed some clothes and prayed they fit when you tried them on at home… because dragging kids in to the fitting room with you to try on clothes, sounds like a nightmare.
Or how about being at that point in your life where you don’t know what’s in style, and you don’t know what your age appropriate style should be? Mystery solved folks.
When I found this little slice of Heaven, it changed my life! {Or my wardrobe life, that is.} So let me show you what I do, and then I’ll tell you how it works:
Welcome to Stitch Fix
It was like Christmas when I got my first shipment. I was literally having heart palpitations, I was so excited…
Eeeeek… they even put a little letter inside explaining what I needed to do if I LOVED what I received.
The minute I unwrapped the paper, I was in love… hooked… and ready to tell the world about it. {You know I can’t keep good things to myself.}
The first thing I saw…
THE.PURSE! I’m drooling at this point, and I gotta have it…
The red skinny jeans and chevron tank top. {Heels are already mine}
Sorry the picture isn’t the best, but this is the first time I’ve ever taken a selfie and it was with my handy dandy iphone. #notaprofessionalselfietaker
Black polka-dot top. {Jeans & Heels already mine} The top looks way better in person for some reason. I wore this out on a date with the hubby the other night, and I received 2 compliments in an hour, on it!
Again… the photo quality. Not the best. #tryhardernextmonth
The dress. The hubby said this was a must have.
{Horrible cloudy photo… but you get the jist}
So why did I get all of these clothes/purse? Because I signed up with Stitch Fix, told them all of my sizes {bra, dress, shirt size, etc.}, told them what I thought of a few example outfits, and how often I wanted to receive a shipment. That’s it! I got a box in the mail a couple of weeks later.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: It cost me $20 for a “fix.” They send me a box full of goodies, I go through the items to see if I see anything I like. If I like any of it, I keep it and pay for what I want. Whatever I don’t like… I stick it in to a provided bag, and drop it in any post office box near me. BONUS: The initial $20 cost is a credit towards my purchase if I decide to keep it! š
Q: How often do they send me a “fix?”
A. I was able to choose how often I wanted a shipment. After falling in love with this, I’ll be lucky if I restrain myself to just once a month.
Q: Did everything fit perfectly?
A: It did!!! I was so surprised. I even told them that I like tops with a little “give” in the belly area since I just had a baby not too long ago. They totally listened, and gave me what I asked for.
Q: What else do I love about Stitchfix?
A. You can give them a link to your clothing board on Pinterest, and they will check it out to see what you like and plan for your clothing accordingly. Yessss!
Q: Do they just do clothing and purses?
A: Nope. I was able to choose if I was a jewelry gal, purse, just clothing, etc.
Q: Do they only send fancy clothing?
A: Nope. I was able to choose what type of clothing I wanted mainly. Work attire, night out attire, casual, etc.
Seriously you all… I’m head over “heels.”
Go check out here: {and fall in love like I did}:

Could you please post the name of the dress? I would love to ask for it in my next Stitch Fix.
Thank you!

Hey! The tag on the dress says 41Hawthorne! I hope that helps! Also, you can send them a link to this blog post, so they can see which dress you’re talking about! š Let me know if I can help!

That looks FUN! Not something I’d do myself, but pretty cool…especially for you young Mom-of-wee-ones. I’m at the funky/hippie/eclectic stage of my life, so I prefer throwing in a few new pieces with my vintage finds…and always topping ’em off with a scarf, or hat, or something I’ve hand knit. You look adorable, though. I bet a number of readers will jump on this. Great post!

I absolutely love what you got! I have four kiddos right now (sorry, I’m a foster parent so that changes sometimes- 3 bio sons and one foster daughter) so going into a dressing room with my entourage is just a joke. I was so tempted to try this when another friend of mine tried it and fell in love, but I am a bit picky so I was worried that I wouldn’t like it so that is so cool that you can give them your pinterest board. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

Thank you!!!
I think you should definitely give it a try! Thanks for coming!!!

I know, right!? I cannot WAIT to see what comes in my next shipment!

Were the clothes they sent affordable?
Jessica says
You know what’s great? When you sign up, you can select if you want cheaper prices or higher priced clothing…
And after every order you receive, you can go online and tell them if that price was ok, or if you want cheaper!!!
In my order…. Some things were reasonable, and some were higher than what I’d normally pay. BUT…. If I bought everything they sent… I got 25% off of my order! So that helped too! š
