Roasted brussels sprouts are a staple side dish in our home. Simply seasoned with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, this easy recipe goes great with any main dish!
If not already, wash and slice brussels sprouts in half.
Place brussels sprouts in large bowl (big enough for stirring to coat with other ingredients).
Pour olive oil and seasonings over brussels sprouts and stir to coat evenly.
Place seasoned brussels sprouts on a baking sheet that's covered with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Bake at 425° for 25-30 minutes, or until brussels are soft, and to the desired "crisp" that you prefer.
Notes
You can cook brussels sprouts longer to reach more of a crispier texture if you prefer. We actually like them WELL DONE, more-so than what you see here in the photos. The brussels sprouts you see here and with this recipe below, only have a slight crisp or char. We prefer them cooked closer to a 30-minute mark, to give more "crunch" and char flavor.
If you plan to add additional ingredients (like from the list of ideas above) to your brussels sprouts, it may be best to either mix-in after the brussels sprouts have finished cooking or toward the end of the cooking process so those ingredients do not cook faster than the sprouts, and burn.
Some brussels sprouts can be very large in size. If this is the case, you may want to slice the halves, in half if they're too big to eat with a fork.
