plain bagels

melted unsalted butter
Optional glaze

powdered sugar

Instructions
Lightly grease your slow cooker insert.
Place chopped bagels evenly in the bottom.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter until well combined.
Pour the mixture over the bagel pieces, pressing them gently to soak.
Cover and cook on low for 3½ to 4 hours, or until set and golden at the edges.
Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
How to Make Glaze
Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and drizzle over warm casserole just before serving.
Notes
Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days.
To make ahead, prep everything the night before and refrigerate the insert. Set it in the base and cook in the morning.
Try with cinnamon raisin or blueberry bagels for variation.
Tested in a 6-quart Crockpot.
