Pistachio Salad: A take on watergate salad and ambrosia salad recipes that uses simple ingredients like fruit, pudding mix, and marshmallows and ready in minutes!
In a large bowl, combine the pistachio instant pudding and the crushed pineapple. Mix together well to let the pudding mix soak into the juices from the pineapple.
Fold in the Cool Whip and miniature marshmallows.
Pour into a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Just before serving, top the fluff with chopped pecans, additional miniature marshmallows and maraschino cherries, if desired. Serve chilled.
Notes
Tip:You can also add the chopped pecans in to the fluff mixture if you prefer. If you do want to, start at ¼ of a cup and increase up to ½ cup, or until your desired consistency.
