¼cuphot bacon grease

Instructions
Make sure lettuce has been washed, dried and torn in to small, bite-size pieces. Place them in a heat-proof serving bowl.
Make sure bacon grease is hot. (This could be hot from cooking bacon, or hot from warming up in the microwave or on the stove-top.)
Pour hot bacon grease over lettuce pieces (carefully) and sprinkle with salt. Toss to cover lettuce leaves. This will "wilt" the lettuce, and serve immediately.
