Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and set aside a deep dish pie dish.
Place golden sandwich cookies and melted butter into a food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs.
Firmly press cookie mixture into your pie pan. Bake for 8 minutes, then cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, caramel sauce, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
Spoon the filling into the cookie crust and smooth the top.
Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Spoon on additional whipped topping and a drizzle of caramel sauce before serving, if desired.
