Our friends were moving in to their new home, and they couldn’t WAIT to share an evening with friends, celebrating the huge job of completing building a home, and moving in! Listen… take it from a gal who has moved 5 times within the last 2 years… every “move,” needs a celebration, so you can have something to help you get through the dreadful task. 😉

When I asked my friends if I could help prepare for their shindig, they accepted! I was totally pumped to throw some ideas their way. I asked what their favorite food was, and after hearing “Mexican food!” We knew it needed to be a fiesta. Besides… bright colors, chips & dip, margaritas… how could it go wrong?

The cake pops killed me! Lol! I had used my cake pop lady for all of my other parties, and I knew she could pull off “pepper,” cake pops if I asked. She totally came through for us.

Oh the salsa bar. Random, assorted salsas create variety, fun, and deliciousness.

I did love their warmer that they had for this. With a party offering a lot of dips, this warmer was the best choice. No one likes hard, cold cheesey dips. Am I right?

The jello shots! Now… yes, I know the “star,” shapes didn’t really go with a fiesta themed party, but starts were just more fun than regular jello shot cups. They used star ice cube trays to make these, and from what I heard… they didn’t last long. {Yes, from what I heard. Bad news coming soon…}

A tequila tasting at it’s finest! Limes were nearby for that follow-up recovery taste. 😉

Now THIS was fun. {So I heard} The wife is a photographer, and since the party was to celebrate a memorable time in their lives, of moving in to their new home, I thought capturing photos from that night, so they could always remember would be the perfect touch. So a photo booth idea was born, and the props did not disappoint!

These cutie patooties made me laugh so hard when I saw the photos. Those “star,” shaped jello shots made the photo booth even that much more fun, I’m sure! 😉
The bad news? I found out a day before that party that I couldn’t make the Fiesta Housewarming after all. 🙁 I had something come up, and I had to miss it. So I made sure to ask if they would snap photos for me, so I could live through the snapshots. It worked.. a little. I still would have given my right arm to have been there that night! 🙂
Until next time you all,
XO
