Easy Potato Trifle Appetizer for Parties: A quick and fun appetizer idea for a party, that can be easily created and made to look incredibly classy!
Easy Potato Appetizer for Parties
No matter the party theme, I’m a sucker for making small/bite-size appetizers for our guests. They seem to be easier for the guests to grab and go, and less fuss over making a plate.
If you’re planning a game day party, these easy potato trifle appetizers need to be on your menu! Especially if your crowd will consist of “meat and potato,” kind of guys & gals… then you’ll be speaking their love-language.
To go big on game day, I wanted to create an appetizer recipe, that you could easily whip up to help make the game day a bit less stressful on you!
Keep it Easy…
It’s no secret around here, that I’m all about keeping things super easy in the kitchen. I’m no gourmet chef, so if I can find easy ways to create recipes, and THEN make them look classy for parties, I consider it a success!
For these, we chose to use the Idaho Spuds Supreme Baked Mashed Potatoes. We literally only had to add water, cook them on the stovetop and we were ready to style the mini trifles with bacon bits, shredded cheese, sour cream and chives.
In just minutes, these little guys were ready to serve.
Mini Potato Trifle Tutorial:
We used a piping bag to make life a little easier, getting the potatoes in to the mini trifle glasses.
You could cook your own bacon, and crumble it up… but hey, when they sell real bacon bits in the store, that’s hard to pass up, right?
Sprinkle on a layer of shredded cheddar…
Add another layer of potatoes…
A bit of sour cream…
…and finish them off with a sprinkle of bacon bits and a couple sprigs of chives for a spiffy little look.
