I have been in a “gifting,” mood all week, and although that sounds really good… it’s only because I’ve been putting off getting TONS of gifts that I have been needing to get for a while now, and I’m finally getting around to it.
With Father’s Day right around the corner, I knew that I better get on the ball, since I was “gifting,” anyway. š
We have a friend that has recently become a new “dad,” and I wanted to get him something that I had seen on Pinterest, so when I was planning his gift, it hit me…
Why can’t I just do the same thing for my dad?
Happy “Pops” Day Gift Basket
How fun is THAT!? Everything in the basket has the word “Pop,” in it. It’s full of fabulous snacks and goodies for the “Pop,” in your life. Best part? I don’t know ANY man that wouldn’t love this. Especially one that’s hard to shop for! š
So here’s what I did:
- I grabbed a crate at the store, rather than a basket. {Yes, I called it a gift basket anyway} A crate just seemed more manly than a basket. Here’s a milk crate that I found, that I like even better than the one I used: Milk Crate
- I actually used a baby receiving blanket to line the crate (only because I had an extra one left over from the baby gift that I was also doing. But you could use a dish towel if you wanted. Or any type of material. I just think material looks better than tissue paper.}
- I printed off this Happy “Pops” Day gift tag {Yes, it’s a free printable for you!} š Just make sure you “size,” it when you’re getting ready to print, depending on how big or little you want it… depending on what size your basket or crate is.
- Then I punched holes in the tag, and simply tied a white ribbon through it, and tied it around the crate.
Gift Basket Contents:
Kellogg’s Pops Cereal
Quaker Popped Chips
Pop Secret Popcorn
A bottle of Coke “Pop”
Pop-Tarts
Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin Mix
Pop Rocks Candy
Our kiddos have also made this Father’s Day fingerpainting craft too, and their daddy loved it!
I hope this has solved all of your Father’s Day gift idea woes, and you now know what to do for the father in your life!
P.S. It was sooo fun going through the store trying to find all of the “pop,” items. Turn this in to a game, and take the kids with you on a scavenger hunt, looking for all they can find. You’ll be surprised how much is available!
Until next time,
XO!

I have been searching and searching and finally stumbled across this and it is perfect right down to the name “Pops”!! I can’t thank you enough. He is going to absolutely love this! I am so excited that I finally found something, he is super hard to buy for if he want’s something he just buys it, so I am left with no idea’s as to what to get the man!

This “pops” crate is all that and then some. I’m excited to help my kids make it for their dad, my husband. He always says that I come up with cute ‘little’ gifts for everyone else.
