Are you a fan of tasty cocktails & sparkly thangs?
I recently hosted a Spirits & Sparkles party, where spirits were on the menu, and sparkles were EVERYWHERE. Ready for the details? Glitter, bubbly, pops of “red,” with a modern black & white touch, made my brand new bar cart the “WOW,” Factor I was looking for. Plus… I created a free Party & Entertaining Essentials checklist that you can save before your next party!
Spirits & Sparkles Party
I began by grabbing my all-time favorite bar cart, and loading it up with a white cake stand {no party is complete without a cake stand}, a little greenery for the holiday season, bubbly, raspberry cheesecake bites, and precious little favor bags filled with red candies.
I filled the bottom of the cart with red & white poms and tissue fans, along with a few bottles of bubbly backup just in case. š
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I can’t make a drink without a garnish. It makes things a little more fancy-schmancy, adds a nice flavor or scent, and is incredibly easy to pull off. I tossed in fresh mint and cranberries in to the glasses of champagne and wall-lah!
I scored this free printable bunting from Elle Claire, where you can print off any letters that you like, and make whatever “wordage,” you prefer. I punched holes in the corners, tied them all together with a ribbon, and it worked perfectly.
I just so happened to have gotten my new “Sparkle,” shirt from The Tom Kat Studio {Kim is my all-time-favorite blogger & party gal}, so it was COMPLETELY fitting for the Spirits & Sparkles party.
No matter the size of your party or shindig, I want to help you make sure you’re covered with the last minute details.
Before hosting or throwing a party, it’s ESSENTIAL to have all of the basics covered.
Don’t Get Caught Without:
a few of my must-have’s before party time…
Before any party, I try to shop at Costco, to pick up all of my party goodies.
It saves me time, they have the Procter & Gamble products that I’m always stocking up on in bulk, so it leaves less of a chance of running out, right before, during, and after the party during clean-up hour.
#1. Pretty please, don’t forget to put extra toilet paper in the bathrooms.
I pull the toilet paper out of the package as soon as I get home, and put it in a basket to make it a little more accessible and pretty.
#2 Magic Erasers can be your best friend right before party time. From erasing chalk marker from a chalkboard, so you can create a new message to your guests, or to wipe that scuff mark off of the trim that you didn’t even notice until 5 minutes before guests arrived.
ā¢ā¢ā¢ I’ll never forget when I showed my hubby how I could get scuff marks off of our white trim with a Magic Eraser. He thought we were going to have to re-paint the trim for sure, until I whipped out my handy dandy Magic Eraser. š
Seriously… it worked like a charm. I swear these things really are magic.
Then of course, if you saw my post on how I remove chalk marker off of my chalkboards, it’s no secret that Magic Erasers come to the rescue before party time, to create a new message, welcoming our guests.
The chalkboard is erased and ready to go!
#3 Have your dish washer detergent on hand. You’ll be going through a lot of dishes, and no one wants to hand wash all of those, right?!

Whew that was fun! A Spirits & Sparkles party, a few of my “must-haves,” when entertaining, and a FREE printable for you to use before you host anything!
This one was chock-full of goodies! I can’t thank Costco enough for sponsoring my Spirits & Sparkles party. I absolutely love Costco. They have a huge variety of organic foods that I love to stock up on, and I’m able to get my paper products there in HUGE packages, so I’m not constantly stuffing my cart with multiple paper goods every time I make a trip to the grocery store. If you’re not a member of Costco, check it out online… you may see that you need to be a member. š
Until Next Time,

I love your party ideas! Using fruit to garnish your dishes and drinks and also add a festive color is a great idea. Also, WOW that magic eraser really is magic. š #client
