Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It uses a few ingredients: I bet you have all of these on hand in your pantry!
- Make-ahead recipe: This can even sit at room temp for weeks, making it perfect for holiday prep.
- Easy for kids: No hot stove needed. This means kids can even safely make this on their own.
Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you’ll need to make this easy strawberry fudge.
- Chocolate – I used white chocolate chips here to really set off the pink layer! You could also use semisweet chocolate in the bottom layer, for a “chocolate covered strawberry” option!
- Sweetened Condensed Milk – Make sure you grab the correct can and not evaporated milk! It is split into the two layers, and a scale would make this super easy!
- Butter – I use unsalted, but you can use whatever you have on hand and it won’t change the taste.

How to Make Strawberry Swirl Fudge
Simply line a pan and get mixing!
STEP 1. Melt white layer. Melt the ingredients for the white layer and stir until smooth.
STEP 2. Spread. Spread the white chocolate layer into the entire pan. Hold back ¼ cup.
Tip: Leave an overhang of foil/parchment in your pan. This allows you to remove the entire pan of fudge for easy slicing!
STEP 3. Melt top layer. Melt the strawberry layer ingredients and stir to combine. Spread over the bottom layer in the pan.
STEP 4. Swirl. Dollop the remaining white layer on top and swirl the layers together with a knife, then chill!
Recipe Pro Tips
- Line your pan. Both lining and greasing the pan are what allow the fudge to come out easily. Lifting the entire tray out at once is the easiest way to then cut into pieces.
- Stir well. Don’t go too far in the microwave! It’s ok to still see the shape of some chocolate after melting, because when you stir it will continue to melt until completely smooth.
Recipe FAQs
Fudge is fine at room temp for up to two weeks! It’s perfect for making ahead of time to add to cookie trays and dessert spreads. You can also store in the fridge longer, and some people prefer the taste of it cold.
Use any jello flavor you like! It would be so easy to coordinate this fudge with your party decorations such as red and green for Christmas or pink and blue for a baby shower.

I followed the recipe to a T. Yet, the mixture is always super runny and not thickening like fudge should as it warms up. Removing the butter, and doing it on the stove rather than the microwave changed the results immensely.

I’m so sorry Chelsea! This is definitely not something I want to happen for you. I’m going to troubleshoot some thing and see what I can figure out where it may be going wrong. Thank you for letting me know!

Hi Heidi! I’m sorry it’s not turning out for you. Did you refrigerate it long enough by chance?
