These sweet little no-bake mini party pies, are ridiculously easy to make. Why are they called “party pies?” Because I absolutely LOVE having this option for a quick “sweet,” to add to any dessert table.
No-Bake Mini Party Pies
When I saw the mini graham cracker pie crusts in the store for the first time, I knew that they would make the cutest little pies. Being someone who focuses a lot on “presentation,” for a party, I knew I wanted to find a quick and easy way to make the little pies, without spending a ton of time in the kitchen. Which brings me to the canned pie filling…
Ok yeah, so I couldn’t decide which pie filling to go with, for this blog post. Hence the three different flavors. Blueberry, Cherry, and Lemon.
Now… if you’re the “baker,” type and tend to put a little more “love,” in to your desserts and dishes, then you may want to take the extra steps of making your own pie filling, topping the pies with more pie crust, and really snazz it up.
But for now… I’ll just take the small baby step of making my own whipped cream, to top the pies with.
Little bit of heavy cream… little bit of powdered sugar… and a little bit of mixer love.
Excuse me while I lick the bowl before snapping the next photo.
You can dollop the whipped cream on to the top of the pies, but if you’re feeling frisky… you can use a piping bag, and a fun “tip,” to give the dollop a little flair.
Top the pies with a fun little garnish, to tie in the flavor.
For the lemon, a cute little lemon wedge would look darling, or simple zest a lemon peel to sprinkle over the top.
Out of cherries on “photo shoot day,” I opted to leave the garnish off of the cherry pie. But wouldn’t a little cherry on top, just be “the cherry on top?”
Chill the pies before serving, and lick the spoon. (So I feel better about myself, for licking it clean.)
• Make the flavor of pie, to match your party colors.
• Use mini wooden spoons to stick in each pie, for added cuteness.
