This Oreo cheesecake recipe is a no-bake dessert that has an Oreo crust, and a creamy filling.
With only a 15-minute prep time, this no-bake cheesecake comes together with just a few ingredients and is a great dessert to be made in advance.

We are MAJOR Oreo fans in this house. I mean, so much so, that we’ve even had them for breakfast in Oreo pancakes, and when they come out with one of their new flavors, you MAY find us dancing in the store aisles and making an Oreo mug cake just to test them out. But the plain ole original Oreos will always have my heart.
Anything cookies and cream or Oreo flavored is going to win over my family, and this Oreo cheesecake recipe is NO exception. We even used Oreos to make this Nutella cheesecake recipe and brookies with Oreos.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- No-Bake Recipe: No-bake desserts like this cheesecake, these Oreo rice Krispy treats, and this Oreo dessert recipe, are just some of our favorite no-bake desserts! “No-bake” usually means less time in the kitchen and fewer opportunities to mess something up. That’s a combination that I love.
- Simple Ingredients: Only 8 ingredients are needed (and really, you could get away with only some of them if you leave off the candy garnishes) and you may already have the items in your refrigerator and pantry.
- Make-Ahead: If hosting a party, cooking for a holiday, or just wanting to make an easy dessert in advance, this cheesecake is great to make ahead of time, since it needs to chill for at least 4 hours. This Oreo fudge is a hit around Christmas time though if you’re looking for a new fudge recipe to try.
Love easy no-bake cheesecakes? This cherry cheesecake recipe is similar and even looks beautiful when served alongside this cookie cheesecake on the dessert table.
Ingredients for Oreo Cheesecake
Here’s what you’ll need to make this no-bake cheesecake.
- Oreos: Or your favorite brand of chocolate sandwich cookies. Personally, I think Oreos are the best, and use them in all of my chocolate cookie recipes, especially in this reader-favorite, Oreo Layered Dessert recipe. Buy extra Oreos so you can also make this Oreo pizza later.
- Butter: Salted or unsalted will work for this recipe. I always seem to have salted butter on hand, and I love how the bit of salt has a tasty contrast with the sweetness of a dessert like this one.
- Cream Cheese: Softened cream cheese is easier to work with in recipes like this one so allowing it to sit out an hour or so before starting, is a great idea.
- Sugar: White granulated sugar is recommended for this recipe.
- Whipped Cream: Feel free to make your own whipped cream but I love using Cool Whip to keep things easy in the kitchen.
- Cookies and Cream Hershey Bars: These are optional, and are decorative (while also being delicious) on top of the finished cheesecake.
- Cookies and Cream Hershey Kisses: Also optional, these are decorative and add a fun bite to the smooth cheesecake.
- Vanilla Icing: Optional, drizzling vanilla frosting on top adds a fun look and another bite of chocolate. Buying pre-made icing in the piping bags is a great option for this.
How to Make Oreo Cheesecake
You’ll find the full recipe card below, but I like to give photo instructions and little tidbits along the way too, in case you find that it helps you with the recipe.
Making the Cheesecake Filling
You’ll want to begin by grabbing a package and a half of the Oreos and separating the cookies and the cream centers.
Place the cream centers of the cookies into a mixing bowl and the cookies into a food processor.

Add your cream cheese and sugar into the mixing bowl and mix with a hand mixer until smooth.
Next, add in your Cool Whip and the rest of your Oreos (broken up). Don’t forget to save about 6 of the Oreos though to use as the topping garnish!
Mix well with a hand mixer until well blended and smooth. Set aside.
Oreo Cookie Crust
In a food processor, process the cookies until fine.
Gradually add butter, until the cookies become slightly moist. (Wet sand consistency.) If you do not use all the butter that is okay! Then, mix well.

Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of a greased cheesecake pan, and press down firmly.
Pour cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth out evenly, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Substitutions
Although an Oreo cookie crust is absolutely amazing, if you’d like to change some things up, you can try this pie crust recipe made of Biscoff cookies.
Toppings + Garnishes for Cheesecake
Once the cheesecake has set, you can make swirls with the vanilla frosting, and garnish with the Hershey Cookies and Cream Kisses, Cookies and Cream Hershey Bars, and remaining Oreo cookies!
Or, top with your favorite fruit, like strawberries! But if you love strawberry cheesecake, then you’re really going to love this strawberry crunch cheesecake!
Freeze the Oreo Cheesecake for One Hour
Last, you’ll want to pop it in the freezer for an hour to help it all set even more, and then serve and enjoy!

Now if that doesn’t conquer your sweet tooth, I don’t know what would!

How to Store Oreo Cheesecake
Store the Oreo cheesecake in the freezer for best results, or if serving soon, store in the refrigerator to allow for easier slicing.
