Ingredients
These easy air fryer apple fritters use simple ingredients you probably have in your house already. If you start now, you can have fresh, delicious apple fritters ready in under 15 minutes!

Fritter Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose white flour
- ½ cup white granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Two large eggs, cold
- 2 gala apples, diced
Glaze Ingredients:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2-3 tablespoon whole milk
Instructions

- In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking powder.

- Once your dry ingredients are well combined, make a well in the center of the bowl.
- Pour the milk and vanilla into the well and stir the ingredients together until a wet, crumbly mixture forms.

- Once the flour mixture and milk are incorporated into each other, add the eggs and stir again until a batter begins to form.

- Add the diced apples and stir again until the apples are well distributed throughout the batter.

- Preheat your air fryer to 400° Fahrenheit for five minutes.

- Once your air fryer is preheated, place three ¼ cup sized scoops of dough in your air fryer basket and air fry for 4 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown.
(If you like to use parchement paper in your air fryer basket, you can! You can find air fryer parchment paper liners online too!)

- While the apple fritters are cooking, prepare your glaze by combining the powdered sugar, butter, and 2 tablespoons of milk in a small bowl. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
Note: If you would like the glaze to be thinner, you can add one more tablespoon of milk and whisk again.

- Dip the top of the apple fritter in the glaze as soon as they come out of the air fryer, (you can place them on a cooling racker if you prefer) and allow them to cool slightly, serve, and enjoy!

Hint: When picking an apple to use for your air fryer apple fritters, you want to make sure you choose a nice, crunchy apple. Gala apples work perfectly for apple fritters; however, you can also use sweet apples like honeycrisp apples, granny smith apples, etc.
Storage
Store your air fryer fritters in an airtight container to keep them fresh. If you store your apple fritters in an airtight container, they will stay good on the counter for 2 days (or for a week in the fridge).

Expert tips and FAQ’s
The most likely answer to this question is that you have made your dough scoops too large. If you make your dough scoops larger than the 1/4 cup recommended in the recipe, you will risk having a soggy center or a soggy bottom on your apple fritter.
(Don’t make them too small though- if you don’t add enough batter, you will risk burning the tops of your apple fritters!)
The best way to reheat your apple fritters is in the oven or air fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 400°, heat your apple fritters for 2 minutes, and voila!
Expert Tip: Never microwave an air fryer apple fritter to warm it up. It will turn out soggy and chewy every time. It’s well worth it to take the extra few minutes and warm them up in the air fryer!
This could be a common case of dropping too much batter into the air fryer. ¼ cup of batter is the perfect amount to get a nice golden-brown crisp on the top of the fritter, and a soft chewy center.
