Trunk Club Review | 2nd January 2017 Unboxing Video: This is my THIRD shipment of outfits, and once again, it was a hit! (A couple of “Whaaaa,” items, but overall GREAT!)
Well I got a little impatient, and scheduled the next Trunk Club shipment PRETTY quick last time, and I’ve ended up with TWO Trunk Club shipments in the month of January. (Darn the luck.)
Trunk Club Review
You’ll find the video for this shipment below, but first I wanted to touch on a couple of things…
The last Trunk Club shipment was incredibly good, and I found myself keeping WAY more than I probably “should,” have. See below, everything on, was from Trunk Club, and it was all incredible. I’m still kicking myself for sending the shoes back.
Trunk Club vs. Stitch Fix:
There’s something different about the Trunk Club items, compared to the items Stitch Fix used to send. Don’t get me wrong… Stitch Fix sent some great items. But a lot of the time, it was as if they sent items that I thought were cute, or would look “good,” with “X” and I’d keep it, and hang it in my closet in hopes that I’d have somewhere to wear it one day.
While with the items I’ve received with Trunk Club so far… I can’t WAIT to wear them, and have even worn them immediately, the same day of the unboxing. There’s nothing hanging in my closet with tags on it from Trunk Club, but I do still own items from Stitch Fix, that have never seen the light of day. Interesting… Perhaps it’s beginners luck with Trunk Club, but even so, I’ll enjoy the moment while it lasts!
Paulina, my stylist with Trunk Club, is the BEST! (I say the “best,” even though I’ve never had another one from there) but she’s done incredible with sending items that I love. There have been a few, “Ok, what in the heck is going on here,” items, (like the shoes in this fix… you’ll see what I mean) but that just makes my decision a little easier and then I don’t spend as much money. Ha!
I’ve heard from others who have recently signed up for Trunk Club using my referral link, that they get assigned to Paulina (the same stylist) because they like to keep “friends,” together and that way it’s possible to nail down the styles a little easier.
I’m not sure if that’s true, but if so… and you want the same stylist I have, it may not hurt to try! (But as always, PLEASE know that you don’t have to use my referral link. I just put it out there in case it can help generate a few more purchases of Trunk Club for myself, and feed my addiction. 😉 #enabler
So let’s get on with the video, shall we!?

So fun, right?! Yeah… so those shoes. I don’t know what’s going on there, but at least I don’t have to struggle with trying to decide whether or not to dip in to my savings for a pair of shoes. If those are in style, (which I’m SURE they are), I’m going to have to learn to be totally open with fashion here pretty quick!
If you want to try Trunk Club, (I totally recommend it, obviously) here is where you can go fill out your profile and schedule your first shipment.
Here’s how Trunk Club works:
• Don’t be intimidated by the profile that they want you to fill out. I’ll admit, it took me a couple of weeks to want to sit down and fill it out. It seems like it will take a ton of time, but it really doesn’t. Plus, I think this really, really helped nail down my style.
• Your stylist will email you once that’s completed, and then send you a “preview,” of the items that she wants to send you. (Don’t worry, if all of the items are NOT your style, simply be honest and tell her, “I don’t want any of them.” She’ll send you a fresh new set of clothes to your house instead.)
• You will be charged $25 for an in-home try-on fee. You can put the $25 towards anything that you decide to keep in the shipment that you receive. Yay! Don’t want to keep anything… then yes, you just gave $25 away. (But to me, the fun factor is worth the $25.)
• If you don’t like anything that you receive in the first shipment, try it again. (If you’re able/want to of course.) But I’ve found with ANY subscription service, the more honest you are, and the more feedback you give, the chances of the next one being better are even higher.
Good luck!! I can’t wait to see if you love it too!
P.S. I almost always upload my unboxing videos up on YouTube the night before my blog post goes live. So those who are subscribed to my YouTube channel, get the “early bird,” view. Which means… the first look at my items, and the first to be able to grab the item online before it sells out. Subscribe to my YouTube channel HERE!
