Air Fryer S’mores: There’s a TRICK to get the s’mores to stop blowing around inside while cooking. PLUS find out what temperature to cook smores at for that golden brown campfire dessert!
Well you may be able to tell by now that we LOVE s’mores, since sharing the No-Bake S’mores Cheesecake and White Chocolate Pumpkin S’mores. But you know what I DON’T love? Rainy… cold days, outside.
BUT… what I do love (especially when in Montana) is hanging around the fire inside on the days when we can’t be out soaking in the fresh air.
And for some reason, my little guys think we have to have s’mores at LEAST once a week… and that doesn’t always work out like they planned when it’s raining outside.
So I finally have a solution to conquer their s’mores cravings when a bonfire isn’t doable.
Air Fryer S’mores
Can I get a “hallelujah” for the person that invented the air fryer?
Trust me. I thought an air fryer was just a big hype and didn’t really make that big of a difference in the kitchen… until I got one.

Perfect for a Crowd!
Want to serve s’mores for a lot of people, without a campfire? (Think, indoor party, birthday party for kids, etc.) You can cook multiple at a time in an air fryer. How fun would this be for an indoor camping birthday party!?
How to Make S’mores in the Air Fryer
So before we dive in, (but feel free to jump to the bottom of this post for the recipe card) I want to make sure you know about the “trick” that will make your s’more life, “s’more” much easier. (Ha! I know, I know. I gotta stop with the dad jokes.)
TIP: How to Keep S’mores from Blowing Around in Air Fryer
I know that things can blow around and get all messy inside of an air fryer. (Trust me. I had a run-in with a slice of cheese on top of a burger one day and it did NOT go well. Put it this way… the cheese one.)
So when making s’mores in the air fryer, the last thing that you want is the marshmallow fall down or blow off of the cracker and end up melting and toasting in to the fryer.
The trick to keeping it in place? It’s super easy. Ready for this?
Cut just a small amount of the marshmallow off the bottom. This allows the marshmallow to stick to the graham cracker and stay in place, even with the circulation of air!
Ingredients:
Different Types of S’mores?
Feel free to mix things up when making s’mores. For instance:
For the Graham Crackers: Try chocolate graham crackers, cinnamon graham crackers or cookies! (I mean, can you imagine a sugar cookie or chocolate chip cookie instead? Oh mylanta.)
When it comes to Marshmallows: Try flavored marshmallows or mini marshmallows for extra golden crisp edges! I even saw the other day that they have chocolate filled marshmallows now!
For the Chocolate: Try replacing the regular chocolate with peanut butter cups, caramel-filled chocolate squares, white chocolate, cookies n cream Hershey bars or decadent dark chocolate!
Step 1: Space graham crackers far enough apart!
Simply place graham cracker halves evenly on the cooking rack but be sure to space them evenly apart. When the marshmallows cook, they will expand and puff up a bit, so you want to make sure not to cram them together too closely.
Step 2: Toasting the Marshmallows
Next, cut just a small amount of the marshmallow off the bottom. (See “tip” above if this is new news!) and place a marshmallow on top of each graham cracker.
Cook at 375 for about 7 minutes or until the tops of the marshmallows start to turn golden brown.
NOTE: The cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model. For instance, a toaster oven air fryer can roast marshmallows in as little as 30 seconds. But most standard air fryer models take at least 5 minutes. I would highly recommend peeking at your s’mores starting at the 5-minute mark.

Look. At. This. Golden. Goodness!
When you cook marshmallows in the air fryer, they have an even, golden crust and give you melty, gooey goodness all the way through. Now, if you love a burnt marshmallow… of course, be my guest and cook it a little longer… but I personally think it’s hard to beat that rich, golden color and flavor! Whew!
Step 3: Add on the Chocolate
Next, add the desired amount of chocolate and top with the other graham cracker half. At this point your smores are complete, but let’s take it to the next level and place them back in the air fryer for another two minutes to get that chocolate nice and melted!
I mean… come on. I’m not sure it gets any better than these little beauties!
