- 3 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex cereal
- 1 cup of Peanut butter puff cereal (we used Reese’s Puffs cereal)

- 1 cup mini Reese’s cups (we used the unwrapped, shareable bag)
- 1-½ cups white chocolate chips
- ½ cup powdered sugar
See the recipe card below for the full recipe, where you can see the ingredients and instructions all in one spot.
Instructions
The steps in this recipe are super easy, and you’ll be snacking in no time!
- First, thinking ahead, grab a large baking sheet and cover it completely with parchment paper.
- Next, melt the chocolate baking chips in a large microwave-safe bowl (large enough that the cereal will fit in it after the chocolate is melted) following the package directions for melting. (Most will be to melt on half-power for 2 minutes, stirring in 30-second intervals. Do NOT overcook.)
- Once the chocolate is completely melted, pour your dry cereal in to the bowl of white chocolate and carefully stir to mix, trying to make sure all of the cereal becomes covered, and trying not to break the cereal in to pieces.
- Next, pour the powdered sugar on top of the chocolate-covered cereal and stir to combine.
- Pour the cereal on to the prepared baking sheet and spread out, and allow the chocolate to cool and harden. (About 10 minutes.)
- When the chocolate has cooled to room temperature, pour the candy on top of the cereal mixture and then stir to combine.
- If desired, transfer the mix to a large serving bowl, or place in multiple small bowls when entertaining, and place them around the room. (Or, serve on a Christmas dessert charcuterie!)
Substitutions
Not able to have some of the items in this recipe? No problem. Run out of something? Not a problem either! Here are some ideas of what you can use instead:
- Mini Snickers
- White chocolate-covered pretzels, pretzel sticks or pretzel twists
- Cheerios
- Peanuts
- Milk Chocolate (instead of white chocolate)
- Mini chocolate chips
- Mini marshmallows
- Red Hot candies
- Holiday sprinkles (just make sure you add these while the chocolate is still hot, so they’ll stick to the cereal when cooled.)
Storage
If there are leftovers, store the holiday mix in an airtight container and enjoy for up to 5 days!
Top tip
Make this in advance and store it until needed! It’s one less thing you’ll need to make the day of the event!
