How to Make White Chocolate Lemon Puppy Chow
Full printable, recipe card below for your convenience, but I’ve included a few helpful notes here in case it helps!
You’ll start by pouring the cereal into a large mixing bowl.
In a separate microwaveable bowl, add the white chocolate chips, butter, lemon zest, and juice.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, until the chips are melted and you are able to mix completely. (You don’t want the chocolate to burn or cook too fast.)
Note: Sometimes the combination of the lemon and white chocolate can cause it to chunk up a little bit. But honestly, this is one of my favorite parts. The little chunks are to die for!
Pour the melted mixture, over the top of the cereal, and gently stir to coat.
Once evenly mixed, pour cereal mixture in to a large, resealable bag and pour about 1/2 cup powdered sugar on top of cereal, seal bag & shake.
Once coated, open bag, and pour remaining powdered sugar over cereal.
Seal bag & shake again.
Once cooled, store in airtight container or devour all of it like I tend to do!
Honesty Moment: After I make this, I have to pour a little into a bowl and hide the rest away, so my husband and I, don’t devour it all, all in one night. It’s THAT good.
So if you’re making this for a crowd, be prepared or double the batch!

This recipe is so stinkin’ quick and is so easy to throw together at the last minute. It’s fabulous for a quick dessert recipe when you’re down to the wire and needing something asap!
I know you’re going to love it as much as we do!

I followed this EXACTLY except didn’t note the “wait until it’s cooled before you store it in an air tight container” = two batches of soggy puppy chow. Do not miss this muy importante step!
Jessica says
Oh no! Sometimes my batches turn out “chewy.” I believe it’s the combo of lemon and the white chocolate. It’s hit or miss at times. But I still love it when it’s chewy! 🙂
