Fruity Pebbles Treats: Your favorite classic no-bake dessert with a fruity twist, using fruit flavored rice cereal to make crispy treats!

Why you’ll love these Fruity Pebble rice crispy treats

The combination of soft, gooey marshmallows with crispy cereal, like in classic rice krispie treats, is absolutely delicious. But using fruity cereal instead of plain Rice Krispies, gives these a flavor that so many will love and is one of our favorite easy snacks!

This no bake dessert is also one that can be made at that the last minute. You can also keep the ingredients on hand for the times when you need something quick, such as an after school snack, especially during warmer weather months, so you’re not heating up the oven!

    Ingredients

It doesn’t take a lot of ingredients to make this Fruity Pebbles rice krispie recipe.

    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 package (10 oz., about 40) marshmallows or 5 1/2 cups of mini marshmallows
    • 6 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
ingredients on table for fruity pebble treats
    Ingredients

    Ingredients

    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 1 teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 package (10 oz., about 40) marshmallows or 6 cups of miniature marshmallows
    • 6 cups fruity rice cereal, such as Fruity Pebbles

See the recipe card toward the end of this post for ingredients and detailed instructions all in one place for these cereal treats.

    Instructions

    1. First, grease or butter a 9×13 baking dish, and set aside.
    2. Next, melt butter in large saucepan (big enough to eventually hold all 6 cups of Fruity Pebbles) over low heat.
    3. Once you have completely melted butter, pour marshmallows in and gently melt on low heat, stirring constantly, until all marshmallows have melted.
    4. Next, add in vanilla extract and stir to fully combine.

Stir to mix with marshmallow mixture
    1. When combined, pour Fruity Pebbles mixture in to prepared baking dish and press cereal mixture to flatten and reach sides. You’ll want this to be flattened, in to an even layer.

Tip: If pressing with your hands, spray hands with non-stick cooking spray, so the gooey marshmallow doesn’t stick to your hands. If using the back of a wooden spoon to flatten, spray that as well. (You could also use a greased or buttered spatula as well.)

Slice Fruity Pebble treats in to squares
    Cut in to squares
    1. Allow resting time for marshmallows to cool (about 10 minutes) and then slice in to squares. You can slice them as big or as small as you like but we tend to slice them in about 12 squares.

    Substitutions

    • Instead of a buttered or greased baking dish, you may choose to use parchment paper and that’s ok too! Or, you can use a sheet of wax paper if you prefer.
    • Love the idea of this fun treat but looking to mix things up? Try some of your other favorite cereals. Who knows what kind of other delicious treats you can come up with!

    Enjoy!

    Storage

If you happen to have leftover Fruity Pebbles rice krispie treats, you can store them in an airtight container, at room temperature for a couple of days. They do tend to get hard and are better, the sooner you eat them!

    Bake Sales and Farmers Markets

These sweet treats are PERFECT for selling at fundraising events or markets! Package them up in to small treat bags, or even wrapped in plastic wrap.
