- chicken breasts – you could also use chicken thighs if you prefer or rotisserie chicken to keep things even easier. (Don’t forget to save the rotisserie carcass to make this rotisserie chicken broth.)
- mozzarella cheese – if you have time, shredding your own mozzarella cheese is recommended since pre-shredded, store-bought cheese tends to have an anti-caking agent on it that keeps it from melting as smoothly.
- butter – salted butter is recommended but you can use unsalted if that’s what you have on hand.
- seasonings – garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper come together to flavor the chicken.
- heavy cream – this is used to make the Alfredo sauce and is recommended more than milk, or half-and-half.
- French bread – I usually find a loaf of French bread in the bakery at my local grocery store. If you buy it in the frozen aisle, make sure you get plain, and not the pre-seasoned bread.
How to Make Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

Top Tip:
- If your bread is not getting crispy enough, you can toast it before adding the toppings and then bake it for 10-15 minutes after topping it with sauce and chicken just to get the cheese melted.
- Add spice to the top with pickled jalapenos or red pepper flakes. If you desire a deeper level of heat, you can add ½ teaspoon of cayenne powder to your alfredo sauce while you’re cooking it.
