    Fruit Dip Ingredients

Here’s what you need to make this fruit dip with Cool Whip, and some details about the ingredients:

Ingredients for Cool Whip Fruit Dip on kitchen counter.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Cool Whip – Make sure to thaw the Cool Whip in the refrigerator overnight for the best results. Avoid microwaving it, as this can cause it to become too runny.
    • Vanilla Yogurt – I suggest using Greek vanilla yogurt, however you can substitute regular vanilla yogurt in this recipe. However, keep in mind that Greek yogurt tends to be thicker and creamier, so the texture of the dip may be slightly different.
    • Jam – Not a fan of strawberry flavors? You can use your favorite jam flavor to add the color and flavor you’re looking for in this dip.

How to Make Fruit Dip with Cool Whip

    1. Gather all the ingredients:  jam, marshmallow fluff, Greek vanilla yogurt, and Cool Whip. Ensure the Cool Whip is thawed properly by refrigerating it overnight.
    2. In a mixing bowl, add the jam, marshmallow fluff and Greek vanilla yogurt.

    1. Using a whisk or spatula, mix it all together until they are well combined and smooth in texture. This may take a minute or two to fully incorporate.
    2. Once the jam, marshmallow fluff and Greek yogurt are mixed, gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip. Use a spatula to fold the Cool Whip into the mixture until everything is evenly combined.

    1. If time allows, you can chill the dip in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together and the dip to firm up slightly. However, you can also serve it immediately if desired.

    1. Transfer the Cool Whip fruit dip to a serving bowl or platter. Garnish with additional toppings if desired, such as fresh fruit, mint or a sprinkle of cinnamon.

    Dip Variations

    • Chocolate Swirl: Drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the dip before serving for a decadent twist.
    • Fruity Flavors: Experiment with different flavors of jam or yogurt. Also, feel free to customize the dip by adding flavorings or extracts such as vanilla extract, almond extract, or even a splash of citrus juice for a tangy twist. Experiment with different flavors to suit your taste preferences.
    • Nutty Addition: Sprinkle chopped nuts, such as almonds or pecans, over the dip for added crunch and flavor.

    Recipe Tips

    • Sweetness: Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the dip to your liking. You can add more marshmallow fluff for a sweeter flavor or reduce it for a less sweet taste.
    • Make it even better: For the most refreshing experience, chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together and the dip to firm up slightly.
    • Make Ahead: You can prepare this dip ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve. Just make sure to give it a good stir before serving to ensure it’s well-mixed.
