Chicken Bacon Ranch Bites are now a new go-to favorite to make when needing an appetizer recipe to take to a party or serve at your cocktail party. They’re easy to make, use simple ingredients, and are ready in under 30 minutes!
My Hawaiian roll chicken, bacon, ranch sliders, (or in bigger form, these shredded chicken sandwiches), and this bacon, ranch, chicken pasta recipe are a few other variations of using these same flavors.
When taking an appetizer to a party or holiday celebration, it’s great to take classic recipes like this Rotel dip with Velveeta Cheese or something like these BBQ Crockpot Little Smokies but why not make something that the others will be surprised by and fall in love with! These cheesy chicken appetizers will make the others swoon.

Why You’ll Love These
- Easy Recipe – It only takes a few steps to make these chicken ranch bites. Simply place crescent rolls in a mini muffin tin, mix the filling, and bake!
- Flavors – Bacon, ranch, and cheese together tend to be a favorite in many party recipes, and in homes all over for a family-friendly dinner.
- Make Ahead – Mix together the filling ahead of time, so all you have to do is assemble and bake these bites for a really quick appetizer.
Ingredients Needed
The ingredients for this recipe are simple and easy to find in most grocery stores! I’ve provided notes about the key ingredients below.
- Shredded Cheese: Pre-shredded cheddar cheese works for this recipe but for best results like with most recipes, shredding block cheese can have a much better result, since it melts better and has better flavor.
- Bacon: You can bake bacon in the oven, whether it’s baking turkey bacon or regular. Or, if you have an air fryer, you can even cook bacon in the air fryer.
- Parsley: Fresh is highly recommended here but if you only have dried, that’s fine to use too.
- Ranch Dressing: Using your favorite storebought ranch dressing works here. My favorite to use is making it at home with the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing packet with buttermilk and mayonnaise.
How to Make Chicken Bacon Ranch Bites
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Pinch off small pieces of the crescent rolls and form into small little bowls and place in muffin cups.
Next, mix up all of the ingredients (besides the crescent rolls) in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Fill each greased mini muffin cup with the chicken, bacon, and ranch dressing mixture and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is heated through.
Recipe Tips
- Pre-cooked chicken: Rotisserie chicken and crock pot shredded chicken, are my secret for easy recipes like this. I always try to keep one on hand or in the freezer for quick recipes. Or you can even see how to boil chicken breasts on the stove if you need an easy way to cook chicken.
- Spice things up by using this jalapeno ranch recipe to use instead of storebought.
- Large Quantities: This recipe is easy to double if feeding a large crowd for a big event.
Storage Instructions
Leftovers: Once the baked chicken ranch bites have fully cooled off, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
Reheat: If you have an air fryer, reheating them in the air fryer is a great option so they’ll have less chance of being soggy. You can also place them back in the oven and reheat them at 350°F, for a few minutes until heated through. Tip: You can also cover with aluminum foil so the crescent rolls won’t burn before heating through.

Recipe
Chicken Bacon Ranch Bites
Ingredients
- 2 rolls refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 rotisserie chicken chopped (we just used the breast meat)
- ½ cup ranch dressing or use this jalapeno ranch dressing recipe
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 green onion diced
- 1 sprig of fresh parsley finely chopped
- 3 strips bacon cooked and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Mix all the ingredients (except crescent dough) into a bowl.
- Open the crescent dough and form into a ball. The dough is easier to work with if used right out of the refrigerator. If it gets too warm, it will be sticky.
- Pull off small pieces of dough and flatten it (in your hand) out to a circle shape.
- Press the dough down into a greased mini muffin tin.
- Spoon a scoop of the chicken filling into each cup. Top with a little more cheese if you wish!
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crescent is golden brown.

I saw this recipe while looking for something special to serve my neighbors at our first Neighborhood Christmas Open House. I went to the store, bought a roasted chicken, and came home and prepared the recipe. Delicious, and so so easy! I am making several dozen for the party
