Frozen Biscuits in Air Fryer: Using packaged biscuits like frozen Pillsbury Grands biscuits, place them in the air fryer basket and they’re ready in 15 minutes, and ready to sit under this white gravy.

Then if the oven is free, try making a batch of sausage patties in the oven to serve on these biscuits for a delicious breakfast sandwich.

Whether you’re needing biscuits to serve alongside this jalapeno gravy, to spread raspberry jam on, to even make a version of this easy breakfast sandwich like this bacon, egg, and cheese, they work for many breakfast recipes! Or, serve them alongside a soup like this clam chowder recipe, as an easy side dish, and one of the easiest bread options.

    ⭐️ Why This Method Works

    • It only takes 15 minutes of cook time: I’ve found this to be much faster (in less time) than using the oven to cook frozen biscuits, like many of our air fryer recipes!
    • No oven needed: Is the oven busy? Don’t want to heat up the house with the big oven? Just pop these in the air fryer to keep from heating up the kitchen. Like our apple fritters in the air fryer, we love using the air fryer for recipes that are often made in the oven.
    • Soft center, golden outside: What I love about this method is that you still get the fluffy biscuits with the warm center and the golden brown outside.

    🧾 Ingredients Needed

Ingredients? You only need the biscuits! Well, perhaps your favorite toppings could be something to consider too.

Pillsbury Grands Biscuits in bag on counter
    • Biscuits – you definitely don’t have to use Pillsbury Grands Biscuits, and as a matter of fact, my mom tells me that she buys the Great Value brand over any others because they’re so delicious compared to others.

    📖 Substitutions and Variations

Without much you can change about cooking frozen biscuits, here are some thoughts that you may consider:

    • Refrigerated Biscuits – if you have refrigerated, canned biscuits that aren’t frozen, I recommend cooking them at a 330-degree temperature for about 5 minutes. (Depending on the size of the biscuits – so check after about 3-4 minutes in case they’re smaller and your air fryer cooks faster than some.)
    • Cinnamon Rolls – similar to biscuits, if you also have cinnamon rolls to cook in the air fryer, this is the best way to cook air fryer cinnamon rolls!

🍞 How to Cook Air Fryer Frozen Biscuits

Just a few simple steps and you’ll have cooked biscuits ready for meal time!

For best results, keep in mind that all air fryers, depending on the brand and type of air fryer, can vary in air fryer temperatures.

Some also line their air fryer baskets with air fryer liners but I prefer to place the biscuits right on the basket, without non-stick spray.

*Be sure to see the recipe card below for the full instructions!*

Frozen biscuits in air fryer basket, in a single layer.
    Step 1

STEP 1. Add frozen biscuits. Place frozen biscuits in a single layer, in to the air fryer basket, making sure the sides of the biscuits are touching. (Image 1).

Tip: I do not use a non-stick spray in the air fryer baskets, as this can make the nonstick coating on the basket wear off. Your air fryer model may recommend using cooking spray, parchment paper, or a liner.

STEP 2. Cook the biscuits. Cook the biscuits at 350 degrees f, for 10 minutes.

STEP 3. Flip the biscuits. Flip, and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are cooked.

    🍳 Equipment

For this process, I used a Chefman, 6.5 L basket style air fryer but other models, brands, and types, such as oven style air fryers, can be used. Be cautious of temperatures, and times, as different air fryers can vary.

    💭 Recipe Pro Tips

    • Make ahead. If making a big meal, these biscuits can be made first, and then you can make other air fryer items like this air fryer bacon and these air fryer hashbrown patties, or air fryer breakfast potatoes!
    • Preheating. Like most of our air fryer recipes and cooking methods, we typically cook without preheating. However, if you’d rather preheat, you absolutely can but it’s important to remember that the cooking time may not be as long, since it will cook at a higher temperature from the start.

    📋 Recipe FAQs

Can you put Pillsbury biscuits in an air fryer?

Absolutely! You can cook frozen biscuits or even canned refrigerated biscuits.

How long do you put biscuits in the air fryer?

If they’re frozen, a total of 15 minutes at 350 degrees is recommended. If refrigerated biscuits, cooking at 330 degrees for about 5 minutes (depending on the size of the biscuits) is recommended.

How do you store leftover biscuits?

Cooked biscuits can be stored at room temperature for 1-2 days, in an airtight container or plastic bag. After 2 days, store them in the refrigerator to help them last longer.
