Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you’ll need to make these awesome bagel breakfast sandwiches!
- Mini Bagels – I used plain, but you can feel free to use everything or onion flavored for even more fun! I have even seen Hawaiian bagels at some stores. You could even make a bigger version and make this homemade bagel recipe.
- Eggs – Scrambled eggs are super quick and easy to make, and they are easy to eat inside the bagels.
- Cheese – I use cream cheese on the bagels, which helps the eggs to stick. Then, I cover everything with a layer of cheddar cheese because I always say more cheese is better!
- Bacon – Use your favorite, whether it’s thick, thin, maple, or smoked. Cook it nice and crisp so it crumbles. I think it’s so much easier to have crumbled bacon rather than slices inside a sandwich.
- Seasoning – To really gives these sandwiches ample flavor, I’m topping the plain bagels with everything bagel seasoning. You can also use poppy seeds, sesame seeds, or minced onions. Feel free to skip this if you use flavored bagels.

How to Make Mini Bagel Breakfast Sandwiches
STEP 1. Make eggs. Whisk the eggs and season well before adding to a hot pan and scrambling.
STEP 2. Prepare bagels. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on the bagel bottoms and nestle them into a baking dish. Carefully add cooked eggs on top of each bagel half.
Tip: Use the cream cheese to your advantage – it will help the scrambled eggs stick to the sandwiches so they aren’t falling all over!
STEP 3. Add layers. Add crumbled bacon over the eggs, and then top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
STEP 4. Top and bake. Place the bagel tops over the filling, then brush with melted butter. Sprinkle on your desired topping and bake!
Recipe Pro Tips
- Allow to fully cool. Making these ahead of time to freeze? Make sure they cool off completely before wrapping tightly.
- Cooked ingredients. Basically when we bake the sandwiches it is just to melt the cheese and heat the sandwiches through. Ensure the eggs and bacon are cooked to your desired finished product before adding to the bagels.
Recipe FAQs
These work amazing as a freezer meal. Allow bagel sliders to cool completely. Wrap each bagel individually in cling wrap (parchment paper will also work) and then place wrapped sliders in freezer-safe container.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, gently reheating in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds. (If you cook them too long in the microwave, the bagels can become very tough and chewy.)
To thaw/cook frozen bagel sliders, remove plastic wrapping from one slider. Wrap the bagel slider using a damp paper towel, and place the slider on a plate, and in to the microwave and cook for 30 seconds.
Feel free to layer on Canadian bacon instead of regular bacon slices! It’s just like layering deli meats in our appetizer sliders. If you love veggies, feel free to add diced peppers or onions to the eggs as well!
What to Serve with Breakfast Sliders
Hashbrown patties are always a great breakfast side dish idea, and so on breakfast potatoes, made in the air fryer! Or if you’re feeling super fun, whip up a batch of this chorizo gravy to dip the sliders in!
Storage
If freezing, cool completely before wrapping each sandwich tightly in plastic wrap. This way the sandwiches will freeze individually inside a bag or container.
