I’m showing you how you can make the easiest and most delicious chicken Caesar sandwich recipe in the slow cooker for a hands-off approach, although you can make this with your favorite cooking method.

You can also serve this shredded chicken open-faced on a piece of toast, wrapped up in a tortilla, or pile it high on a side salad to make this chicken Caesar pasta salad.

If you love the Caesar flavor in dishes, this Creamy Caesar Chicken has similar flavors.

    Chicken Caesar Sandwich Highlights

    • Easy Preparation – Toss the chicken breasts and broth in to a slow cooker and cook. Then mix with the dressing and cheese and dinner is ready!
    • Flexible Cooking Method – Want something faster than using the crockpot? No problem. Boil the chicken breasts, or cook them on the stove, in the oven, or an air fryer. Then follow the remaining steps of this recipe as instructed.
    • Use Other Types of Chicken – This recipe works great with chicken thighs or another type of chicken that’s on hand.
    • Great for Meal Prep – Make this in advance to use on sandwiches, or on salads for the week.

    Caesar Chicken Ingredients

Here’s what you need to make these easy Caesar Chicken Sandwiches.

    Ingredients for Caesar chicken sandwiches.

Complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the recipe card below.

    • Chicken Breasts: The quantity of chicken breasts can vary, depending on the sizes. You’ll need two pounds for this recipe.
    • Chicken Broth: Cooking the chicken in broth gives the chicken more flavor but can be optional, and you can use water if you don’t have broth available. Tip: Homemade chicken broth using a whole chicken or making broth out of a rotisserie chicken is a great way to keep broth on hand for recipes like this one.
    • Parmesan Cheese: Shredded or grated parmesan works for this recipe and shredding or grating your own makes this recipe even better.
    • Fresh Parsley: If you don’t have this on hand, you can still make and enjoy these shredded Caesar chicken sandwiches. The fresh parsley adds color and a touch of freshness that elevates the sandwich.
    • Romaine Lettuce: Romaine offers that crisp texture the tenderness and softness of the chicken and buns. Leaf lettuce will also work but can have more of a bitter taste than romaine.
    • Caesar Dressing: Using storebought dressing is fast and easy but you can also make your own recipe if you have a favorite.
    • Burger Buns: Brioche buns are are delicious with these sandwiches but regular buns or even sesame seed buns are great too.
